Jewish Worlds Illuminated : A Treasury of Hebrew Manuscripts from The JTS Library

The exhibition „Jewish Worlds Illuminated: A Treasury of Hebrew Manuscripts from The JTS Library“  at the Grolier Club in 1925 featured over 100 rare Hebrew manuscripts, illuminated books, and related treasures drawn from the extensive collection of the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) Library—one of the world’s largest holdings of Judaica. It was the most extensive public display ever of the JTS Library’s Hebrew manuscript holdings and the first exhibition at the Grolier Club dedicated entirely to Jewish books and manuscripts. It spanned roughly 800 years of Jewish history and literary creativity, highlighting works from diverse regions of the Jewish Diaspora, including Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.

Some of the books are shown in this online exhibition and there is also a virtual tour
