The children’s book exhibition at the Klingspor Museum is turning 70, and you’re cordially invited to the party! A birthday is a reason to celebrate in many parts of the world, but also an opportunity to reflect on the past and the future. For three months, the children’s book exhibition will be celebrating its 70th birthday and looking back on seven decades of picture books. What’s been happening in the picture book market, which editions are now cult classics, and what wouldn’t be as popular on shelves today? And what does the future hold for children’s books? As every year, the children’s book exhibition will also showcase numerous new releases from many countries, each with a particularly beautiful design or narrative. So come along, celebrate the 70th children’s book exhibition with us, cut confetti and stamp wrapping paper, discover new and old picture books, make garlands, and join us in celebrating!
Das Klingspor Museum in Offenbach zeigt vom 06. Dezember 2025 – bis 15. März 2026 die 70. Internationale Kinderbuchausstellung.
In der Ankündigung heißt es dazu: Die Kinderbuch-Ausstellung im Klingspor Museum wird 70 und ihr seid herzlich eingeladen zur Party! Ein Geburtstag ist in vielen Teilen der Welt ein Grund zu feiern, aber auch ein Anlass über Vergangenheit und Zukunft nachzudenken. Drei Monate lang feiert die Kinderbuch-Ausstellung Geburtstag und schaut zurück auf sieben Jahrzehnte Bilderbuch. Was ist alles auf dem Bilderbuchmarkt los gewesen, welche Ausgaben sind heute Kult, und was würde heute nicht mehr so im Regal landen? Und was erwartet das Kinderbuch wohl in der Zukunft? Daneben zeigt die Kinderbuchausstellung wie in jedem Jahr zahlreiche Neuerscheinungen aus vielen Ländern, die besonders schön gestaltet oder erzählt sind. Kommt also vorbei, feiert mit uns zum 70. Mal die Kinderbuch-Ausstellung, stanzt Konfetti und stempelt Geschenkpapier, entdeckt neue und alte Bilderbücher, bastelt Girlanden und freut euch mit uns!
